....I really think Korg will clean up.

Kronos pianos and EPs plus the CX-3 organ engine in 76 and 88 note versions, lop a grand or so off Kronos prices, and there it is. I would go for that in a heartbeat.

Action-wise I'd be happy enough with the RH3.

They won't clean up as a stage piano unless they improve on the RH3. That is my opinion as a Kronos owner.

Plus, on the piano side, I prefer playing the SN pianos.

sh1, yes, I'm inclined to agree.

As a Nord Electro user, I am very interested in the prospect of an SV-2 with the pianos, EPs, and organs from the Kronos.

As long as it's lightweight, red, and has a gigbag I can sling over my back.

It wouldn't need the Kronos' touchscreen either - just a USB connector that allows everything to be configured from a laptop or tablet before the gig.

Cheers,
James

I've played the Kronos 88 in the store about a half dozen times and for straight piano playing--sound to action connection, I'd take the:

Yamaha CP1, 5, 50, P155, CP33, CP300, Kawai MP10, MP6, Nord Piano, Stage 2, Roland 700NX, 300NX, FP7-F...not necessarily in that order--all over the Kronos.

But definitely put me down as interested in an SV-2. I gave the SV-1 two shots and could never really connect with it live for piano though.

Personally I can't see Korg releasing an SV-2 till Nov or Dec of 2012. They've got their hands full trying to fill back orders on the Kronos not to mention taking care of all the defective units with their initial run.
