Monterey Grand Piano?
I know very little about them but am trying to find out more. The pianos were made around 1930 and it was a case job only. The Mason Mfg. Co. started producing a line of furniture based on the Warner Bros. movie "In Old Arizona". The style is California Spanish revival and was the original, "Shabby Chic". I'm not sure if customers sent in their pianos to be refinished or what? The company made a miscalculation on the scope of having to refinish pianos and raised their prices several times to discourage purchases, ultimately it was just too messy and time consuming and they discontinued them. Less than 30 were produced, in several different finishes, to match the furniture. The only one I've ever found sits in the "Manor House" at the Texas retreat "Mo-Ranch". If any of you out there ever run across one let me know. It would matter not about the condition of the piano, only the case. Identifing marks could be a horseshoe brand or the word Monterey carved into it somewere. I doubt there are any "undiscovered" ones out there, but if so they would easly be worth 5 figures.
