Hello,
I've been a member of this fabulous site for awhile, but this is my first post. I just came across a 1879 Seiler 5' grand (artcase), and would love to take a look at it. I've been trying to find some background info on it, but I haven't found much. Does anyone have any information about Seiler pianos during for that time?
Thanks!

There's a shipload of info here, just type "seiler" in under the SEARCH button in the top right of this window!

Sorry I missed that you are looking exclusively for the old Seiler brand, not the new one.

Thanks for the information. I did go see it. It looked like it was in decent shape with a nice sound. It had not been tuned for 3 years. Unfortunately, it had 85 keys...which I guess may have been the standard for that era? I guess I'll continue on with my quest.

Thanks, Rotom. I did see the thread here on 88 vs 85, which I found very interesting. I really appreciate all the advice I have received so far.
