If somebody have any settings to make roland "own" speakers sound like i hear it in the headphones reverb 10, i would like to know!

I have USB caple but i do not know how to get voice in the computer.

Do i need to buy another caple witch i will put in the MID OUT place?

I already replied to this above. This is a thread about FP-7F settings.

I believe I Will acquire a used FP4 soon.
Do any of the settings mentioned in this thread apply to the FP4 ?

Unfortunately, there is no piano "designer" function in the FP-4. However, there are a lot of other features in the FP-4 that are not available in the 7F or 4F. Enjoy your FP-4 when you get it, it's a good all-rounder!

I'm wondering if there's universal "objective" settings for recording to get that neutral sound?

I played a bit with settings, recorded this and that also with settings from recommendations here. My settings have been Lid 5, Key touch medium +6, Duplex scale 3 and Hammer noise -1, Master Gain +10, the rest factory. What I found that when increasing key touch offset the sound gets a bit muddy. For example, playing just Medium level with offset at 0 it's clearer... Of course, it might be a minor difference, but anyways.

Also manual states that Medium setting is the most close to the acoustic feel.

Does anyone have any favourite draw bar settings & effects for the organ? Been tinkering around in search of hammond sounds and whilst what I've got to is OK for the stuff my band does I can't ever seem to quite nail it. Problem is it's hard to put into words what I'm after and I know that there isn't a single hammond sound, but would be interested to try out other peoples settings to see if I like the sound..

At risk of resuscitating a cadaver , I have, after many more hours of playing, set my Keytouch Offset a bit heavier.

Keytouch Offset: Heavy -10

This requires a bit more effort for the ff passages and also allows for lighter pp passages without risking 'silent' keys. It also works much better as controlling device for the likes of the Galaxy pianos (specially the Vintage D).

This is also a result of analyzing the best midis out there (for instance those made with actual Yamaha grands by top class competitors) and trying to match my own idea of what would be a pp and ff to what they play as pp and ff and the sounds of the piano.

I have also settled on a bit more reverb than my original approach and now use:

Reverb: 6

So that is a slight upgrade, nothing really worthy, but the heavier touch is really a bit more 'real' and may take away what other feel in the FP-7F that it feels to light. Maybe its just a connection with the velocity curve rather than an actual feeling of the keys? Hard to say.

Just have my FP7F a couple of days and till now can't get used to the piano sound ...
As I already mentioned in another thread, for me the SN piano sound sounds muddy, dark, mellow ...
I played along with variuous EQ settings, starting with Preset 1 (brighter sound), and managed to keep especially the mid brighter, but then it sounds so metallic ...
What settings are you using to get a fresh, bright, crispy piano-sound without a lot of metallic ?

I haven't logged on in forever, but I just thought of this and found this thread.

I personally like the mellow sound. I think you might be able to get it more crisp by custom EQ. I find the preset EQ pumps up certain parts of the spectrum way too much, I don't add more than 3db anywhere, and I find that's enough to give it some nice sparkle where you want.

I didn't find the lid, etc. settings to do much but I think I have all the damper/resonance set to 10. Touch weight I have at 7 because I dislike the "response curve" at 10, it's too dissimilar to a real piano.

The one thing I could never figure out a solution for is the fact that the bass notes decay way too fast. For example I recorded Chopin op.10 no.1 and it sounds extremely strange because the bass is gone by the time the next octave comes around. If I could play it as fast as Berezovsky I suppose I'd be fine but I don't intend on ever trying that.
