Can't go wrong with a Casio PX-130, or better, PX-330, for many additional features.

I should also add that I own a Casio AP-620 (the flagship model), and, it is a very expressive instrument.

Well worth the money, in its price range.

How would you compare the Privia Px-3 to the Yamaha p95, and if comparable the Privia Px130?

The PX-3 is comparable to the PX-330, albeit without speakers, better control functions, and some sonic improvements.

The Yam P95 and Casio PX130 are regular, head-to-head competitors. The Casio specs better and generally has firmer keys. The Yam tends to have even better QC and an equally popular tone but lighter keys.

The PX-3 has the same basic action as the other Privia models but with upgraded textured keys. The construction also earns good reviews. It has no speakers but as a "pro" slab, a full range of connections. It's capabilities are geared towards pros and unmatched at twice the price. It's so light weight, it's actually funny. But ultimately, you either like the basic tones and action or you don't.
