Last night I had a nightmare involving one of my deepest fears. In general, I have a deep fear of being mutilated, (limbs chopped off, eyes pulled out, etc...), but one of the more specific ones is being completely crushed to death---into a flat pancake!

In the nightmare, I was put into a bag, and then tossed into a compression box. Already I was starting to freak, and I wanted to scream at them to let me go; But I knew that screaming would not have helped since everyone who could hear me were the ones who put me in the box in the first place. The compression began from the top down. I couldn't feel anything at first, but then the top of the box touched the back of the head. I freaked even more, and started to cry. "No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, noooooooooooo!" I kept chanting, like it would somehow stop the slow death, and somehow cease the resulting pain. The pain was agonizing, but I didn't feel it all as it increased. Pretty soon I was about to be completely crushed, but then I woke up.

Now I'm here trying to find some explanation as to why all of a sudden I'm dreaming about my deepest fear, and what significance it holds in my life.

I'm visibly shaking over this nightmare, please help.

Don't eat junk food before going to bed! It can cause nightmares.
