What's you're favorite book from the Lyric Pieces by Grieg?

Welcome to Pianoworld, Hermanberntzen! My preference is the set beginning with "Butterfly" and ending with "To Spring". I think that you will get more responses from other forums which deal with classical music.

Regards,

Robert.

My favorites seem to be spread out across the books, Hermanberntzen. It's nice to hear from someone else who is working on the Lyric Pieces. I have recordings by several pianists, but my favorite is the set by Einar Steen-N√łkleberg on the Naxos label. He makes some of them sound so easy, but when I try to get them under my fingers, well, it's another story. But he is the one I would most like to sound like, if I could.

I love Grieg. I like many lyric pieces, but probably one of my favorites is From Days of Youth, sorry for my amateur performance, but it may give you an idea.

Welcome to PW frosas.
I enjoyed listening to your playing, and also listened to your recording of Mendelssohn's - Lieder ohne Worte Op 19 1
Curious what the piano is you're playing?

Frosas, that was very nice! I said it on YouTube and I'll say it here - you did a great job with your dynamics and making it very expressive. I really enjoyed that, too smile

Hi Dara, thank you. The piano is a Yamaha C1, I sold it a couple of months ago, in order to buy an AvantGrand N2. I many way the N2 is better, especially for the action and for the capacity to play it at night without disturbing anyone.

I LOVE & LOVE Grieg's Book 5 Op.54 - 2 : Gangar (Norwegian March..many other titles) by Richter.

So I made out from some shots of my flowers around me.

I hope more pianists play something like this beautiful nature's sound.
Richter often used to play Yamaha by the way!
