I think you know what I mean --- a T-shirt, or polo shirt or even a sweater with the Steinway & Sons typeset and logo. NOT the I "heart" Steinway or "future Steinway player" or knock off stuff like that.

That seems to be the retail outlet for their accessories. As Steinway is a trademarked name, you probably will not find any other authorized outlets.

Interestingly, the piano on this shirt resembles a Yamaha much more than it does a Steinway.

Over the past twenty or so years (roughly lining up with public offerings of Steinway stock) the company has had an increasing business in "accessories". These have included sunglasses, watches, clothing, glasses, briefcases, etc.

There were rumors years ago about a Steinway cologne, but I have never actually seen one... or smelled one either.

Also, I receive quarterly statements on SMP's business, but I have never taken the time to explore their accessory sales. It is obviously a viable enough business to dedicate a website to it.

I don't have much interest in buying accessories from any maker, but I wasn't aware that www.steinwayaccessories.com existed. I noticed today that it is linked to their official website.

Walk into a Steinway dealer wearing a DIY Fazioli t-shirt. They'll either chase you out with a pitchfork/rolling pin, or give you a Steinway shirt
