I'm looking for a sturdy stand for my Casio PX-330, that is compact when folded. Would the Roland KS-18Z be ok? (I haven't found any in local stores yet, mind you)

I have a platform type ( Onstage KS7150 ) at the moment, however it has too much side to side wobble. It's fine for casual use, but I'd be worried at a gig.

Any other suggestions?

Hey, Greg, here is what I use and other than not knowing which way is the "front", I find it to be a strong yet adjustable stand.

Thanks Bill - I've actually placed an order for one of those - fingers crossed. (can't get Roland until the end of the year!).

I own two of these KS-18Z stands and I'm sure they are the best stand out there for their price and probably beyond. The NZ price is $120.00. Very portable, sets up and folds down in a matter of seconds and secure enough to support any stage piano. I'm not a fan of table or X type stands.

I've just set up my table stand again, and I've decided to just put up with the wobble for the time being. Whilst it is very easy to get it to wobble quite a lot if I press down on the keys, and then move my hands, if I just play the damn thing normally it doesn't wobble all that much. It is very wide, too - I like having all that space free.

If I ever get more serious I'll investigate the Roland and Onstage Z-stands more closely, and possibly the Roland KS-G8 "U" stand.
