I need everyone who said they were coming to VERIFY with me that they are still coming! webmaster@pianoworld.com

If you have to drop out, please let me know that right away so we can give your slot to an alternate.

The tour is less than two weeks away, looking forward to seeing everyone!

And don't forget about the Cape Cod Piano Party the following day.

Just wanted to say thanks to Frank, Kathy, and everyone over at Mason and Hamlin for the fantastic tour last week! It was a gorgeous fall day and the tour couldn't have been more perfect. We started on the ground floor of the old brick factory building, where they showed us how they laminate and bend the rims, and then worked our way up, one floor at a time, to the top of the building for the final finishing. I learned so much about piano construction, and was just fascinated by the equipment and the process. And if that weren't enough, afterwards they treated us to a delicious fried chicken lunch, which we ate while enjoying Frank's and others' piano playing on a gorgeous Mason and Hamlin concert grand. Just a wonderful day!

I agree with Laura. She said it all.
Thanks to Bruce and Jamie for a wonderful tour. A special thanks to Frank for arranging it for us to see how one of the fnest pianos is made.
I am very impressed with the Model "B". In my opinion, a 5'4" grand that's very hard to beat. I played the 9'4" "CC". I tried to carry it out of there...but had some trouble on the stairs. I liked everything about that beauty!!!
And not to forget...the wonderful young gal that made sure we had coffee and that chicken "DINNER"!
A great day for sure!!

Frank,
Thank you so much for organizing the wonderful tour! Miho and I totally enjoyed it. It was also nice to meet you and Kathy and other Piano Forum people in person, too. Next time hopefully I will be able to join the Cape Cod Piano party, too!

Our thanks to the folks at Mason & Hamlin for another great tour!

I wish more people had been able to make it to the tour, unfortunately quite a few had to drop out just before the tour. Still we had a good sized and enthusiastic group of about 30 people ranging in age from about five to, well, older than five :-)

Bruce did his usual amazing job of educating us all on the finer points of building a top notch piano. He has a great way of making even complicated concepts easy to grasp.

And if the tour wasn't enough, they provided us with a delicious lunch and some new pianos to play at the end.

I've posted a FEW PICTURES on my Facebook page. I'll post some here along with some video when I get a chance.

Hopefully we can get back to making this a yearly event.

Yes, I would like to say thanks again to Frank for arranging the tour. It was fascinating to me and I really appreciated the opportunity! I happen to be the Editor of a statewide motorcycle magazine and I also write for Examiner.com and after the tour was inspired to write an article about "Pianos and Motorcycles" - here's a link if anyone is interested in reading: http://cdn2-b.examiner.com/biker-culture-in-albany/pianos-and-motorcycles . Thanks to all.

Any chance of another tour of Mason & Hamilin happening again fairly soon?? I could go on my own as I'm not that far away. But, maybe if there was enough interest????

We will definitely be organizing a Mason & Hamlin Factory tour this year.
Now that Kathy and I are back living in New England it will be easier for us to get there (we were living in Florida).

We usually organize them for around the time M&H hosts their dealers because that's the most likely time all the upper management people will be at the factory too.

Typically that's in the fall. Keep an eye on the forums and make sure you're subscribed to our Free Newsletter for more information.
