Hi, and welcome to the Piano World forums!

You will likely get more and better responses on the "Digital paino forum" here. There are several forums that you can participate in... this is the piano forum where acoustic pianos are discussed (among other things! smile )

Good luck!

I agree with Rick, you should definitely put this on the digital piano section of the forum. Before you buy any instrument, if possible, it would be best to have your daughter play them both, and decide by the touch and feel of the keys, the ease of the pedals, etc. Personally, though, I would recommend the Yamaha. I have had good experiences with Yamaha's, and although they may be more expensive, I think they are higher quality. I love that you are getting a good keyboard right off. The Yamaha has 88 keys, 128 note polyphony, and good gadgets that are helpful for practicing. I didn't look at the Galileo but I'm sure that it also is a higher end keyboard.
Also, just so you know, the Yamaha is only 1,499 USD on Amazon.com. I'm all about finding the bargain! smile
Best of luck, and I hope your daughter enjoys her instrument!
