Selling a used piano

I am preparing to sell my piano and am trying to figure out a fair price. I have no idea where to begin. I purchased it in 1998. It is a Baldwin Hamilton 243HP s/m 447904 with a humidifier installed. I bought it used from the original owner and have the original sales brochure as well as all the humidifier paperwork. The piano sounds very nice, although I have not had it tuned in a very long time. It has always been on an interior wall. There are a few scratches but nothing terrbly serious. Any ideas as to what I should expect to sell it for? Should I have it tuned before I try to sell it, or sill that be a waste of money? I appreciate any assistance/guidance.

I'd say get it tuned, because it makes it sound better, and also probably for around $1000. Here is a place where you can sell your piano. It's not costly. You could also try Craigslist. Good luck!

If your Hammie is in good shape (and it sounds like it is) than $1500 or so should be reasonable. Several posters here have mentioned buying similiar vintages for that much.
I also advise getting it tuned. It would be hard for a buyer to evaluate if it's not tuned and it would also indicate that the tuning pins are holding well (usually not a problem with the 19 ply pin block on Hamiltons).
