I'm a technician in Toronto, ON. looking to restore a Wing and Son upright from around the turn of the 20th century. I'm specifically interested in restoring the elaborate pedal mechanism. It's a five-pedal instrument and still has all the trap-work and rods, but neither of the two horizontal bars. I can find a small amount of information about these bars, but I'd love it if anybody could tell me exactly what they consisted of and what sounds they are purported to have created. I'd love to duplicate something resembling the original parts if I can. Thanks in advance for any info or advice anyone might have.
