Hi ! Found locally this Yamaha, it is 15 years old. Seller is asking for 1200(+ I pay for moving and tuning) What model is it ? Is it worth asking price ?? There is another Yamaha for sale, but it kind of far away from my house (2 hours one way) http://frederick.craigslist.org/msg/2626951761.htmlThanks !

That looks to me like an M-302, which is in an oak cabinet. Made in Tomaston, GA for many years.
Those go back as far as the 1980's and were discontinued around 1994. I tuned lots of those and always liked them.
The ad you referenced is pretty much a newer version of the same piano.

How much it too much? It depends on who you ask... I've noticed that dealers will not comment too much on prices here on the forum, except maybe to give a thumbs up on really low price or a thumbs down on occasion. I'd say that is much less than a new one would cost. You can Google "Yamaha M-500 for sale" and see what you come up with. If you have it inspected by a piano tech, they might offer some advice on the price. Good luck! Rick

$1200 is good for a 15 year old. Check serial number for real age.

I think that is a fair price considering what I paid for a sub-Yamaha console way back in the 80s...
