Beautiful! That is a very rare case style. I especially love the satin finish.

I also love the prominent placement of the humidifier. Make sure to keep it filled!

Serial number indicates 1999, but I think it was sold new in 2001.

I love the big Bosie. And that piano room is wonderful. If I lived there I think that I would often be sitting in one of those chairs reading a book.

But I'm told mirrored walls are out of style. I agree with you...I like the reflection.

I'm sure there's something to what you say. However, the room is carpeted, not hardwood, and my ear and my talent not so great that I find the present sound unacceptable. And I like the look of the mirror. So I think we'll keep it.

Besides, my money's all gone to purchase the piano...there's nothing left for home renovations. smile

Beautiful! I like that case.

And it's a nice big space, too.

We have a Bösendorfer 225 in a very small house, we have a wall hanging over it to soften the sound a bit, and it works. There's a wall of windows behind the piano, that's as problematic as your mirror for reflections. It sounds a bit better when the drapes are closed.

Last week we had our "piano warming" party, and I crammed about 20 people inside for a concert; I have some (unfortunately low quality) GoPro videos here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VohO5LTapIw ("Finger Breaker / Jelly Roll Morton")

I hired two local pianists to perform at my house because my guest's patience would run out if I tried to entertain them for several hours.

I hope you have as much fun with yours as I'm having with mine....

Anne, it is fabulous...Great choice! I think I will add you to my buddy list so (since we will then be friends!) I can visit you and your husband and try it out! In all seriousness, I hope your new piano will bring you every possible enjoyment. I'm sure you have dreamed of having a piano like this for many years and it is wonderful that you made your dream come true...very happy for you!
