Hi everyone:
My tech is coming by next week and I will ask him for his thoughts on the WNG shanks and flanges for my 1979 Kimball 6'7. I have looked at the WNG website and I admit I am interested. What I would like to know--at least generally---is what the price difference is compared to traditional wooden shanks and flanges. Are the WNG 10% more, 50% more or what? Interested to hear what any of you think about the shanks and flanges and if any one knows the (approximate) price difference. (For reference, I was finding the wooden shanks and flanges for around $400 for a full set.
Thank you.
Steve

There will be additional labor involved though, as most pianos require an alteration of the wippen rail for the wippens to fit. What that cost will be dependent on the piano, the tech and the hourly fee charged, all of which can vary significantly

Oops, just reread your post and realized you are not considering the wippens
