No, I can't tell you why, because what may be difficult for me may not be difficult for you and vice versa. Figure it out for yourself.

Play it, learn it, and discover for yourself whether you find it difficult or not. That's the way to answer your question!

But why would not knowing other's answers prevent you from trying it out and finding out for yourself based on your own skills and/or limitations?

Either he's thinking of the B minor Book I, or he's trying to scare you for no good reason. Try it.

Its part of Trinity's Licentiate Syllabus; so its a pretty tough one, I'd say. I've just completed learning it. The prelude is fun! Its very rhythmic, governed by lovely motives. The 3-part fugue is harder: its got a long subject, which needs to be spelled out clearly (its not that easy each time; especially when it is in the Middle Voice.

Overall, I really enjoy playing this piece. Its a dance form and its very charming.

The prelude is quite simple, but the fugue requires little more technical/musical command.

Hope this helps!

PS: Listen to Angela Hewitt's recording on youtube
