I had posted this on the classical recordings section but I guess it belongs over here. I know this piece pops up quite a bit on the forum but I wanted to give it a try. Thanks for listening...

beautifully played.. very nice. so very expressive.

one thing i like to do on page two (and four) is emphasize the 'triplet nature' of the right hand, accenting the bottom note of the triad with the thumb..(the b flat to start).. it makes it sound as if is a 3 against 4 passage. This piece is just brilliant.. so simple and so very beautiful.

What kind of piano do you have?.. it sounds wonderful.

Many thanks!! I agree with that 'triplet nature'. I think that's what Tiersen is looking for. And thanks for the kudos on the piano. It's a Young Chang/Pramberger 6'1 grand. Initially it sounded way too bright and I replaced the hammers for a much softer sound. I've since voiced it a bit trying to get it just right. But of course recording the piano is another whole set of worms. What may sound nice in the studio can sound like crap recorded. i.e, on this piece I kept getting a 'whoosh' sound every time I dampened. I eventually moved the mics much further away than I normally do. The result is better and I may keep the mics back there for good.
