We agree. The place where I sound like a broken record is in the encouragement of the exploration of "the endless possibilities" part, (assuming all of the other characteristics you mentioned are given) which are discovered when one is being true to one's musical conceptualization of a piece, or, more simply, "How am I gonna say this?" It is a matter of identification and honesty.

Funny, they don't let us say h-e-l-l but they have no problem with "Debussy".... ha

Bad....I know that's bad -- in more ways than one. grin

Right! I remembered that!
I also remember that I forgot what it is. ha

And I'm not that interested in searching old posts. grin

Chopinaddict is doing it differently but I'm sure he/she is also using the character map. The first person to do it inserted a blank character between the h and the e.

Do I want to stop? Well, I don't feel a pressing need, but I did just look and you're, of course, correct. I didn't even notice that I'd added the little bugger.

Not that this is the most pressing issue there is, like compared to world hunger or how people don't follow what's in the score ha .....but if you look a little further, I think you'll see that you ALWAYS do it! grin

I can't blame you. There should be an apostrophe there, and I understand that there used to be, but at some point the grammarian powers-that-be decided to vamoose it (probably to save ink). whome

And sorry to have said anything about it, but to a stickler for correctness (which, after all, you are too!), the apostrophe sticks out like a pause between a trill and its Nachtschlag, or, I suppose, like a word misspelled with an extra letter in the middle. ha
