Hi guys ,not sure if anyone can help but here goes .I have uploaded a couple of video clips of me playing piano on youtube but so far have just used the video camera and mic from my mobile phone (very basic I know )just wondered if anyone could advise on the best and simplest way to record the piano in better quality ie direct to the pc ,I am not too woried about the video quality ,but would like the sound to be as good as possible .You may have guessed I am not very tech minded so if someone could explain in VERY basic terms it would be appreciated .I have a Yamaha digital piano clp340 which sits about 3 mts from my pc the connections i have on the piano are 1/ to device B 2/ to host 3/ Lan 4/ aux in L+R 5/ aux out L+R 6/ Midi In- Out- Thru . Many thanks in advance for anyones help .All the best Rob

I'm certainly no expert but I would try to take the Line Outs from the piano and go directly to the video camera audio input. Can you bypass the mic and use a line in to the video camera?
Once you have the video and audio recorded you're at least a step closer.

I use a MIDI recorder to plug into my Roland digital piano and then direct into the laptop. Basic software like RedDot does the job.
