The 2012 PTG Institute in Seattle (Bellevue) is shaping up to be another fine event. July may seem a long way off, but it's not too early to start planning your trip to Seattle. Institute Director Ward Guthrie and his team are putting the final touches on the class schedule. Please view the following link for Convention dates, details and information. (The class schedule and other info will be posted as soon as it is available.) http://convention.ptg.org/ I look forward to seeing those of you whom I've already had the pleasure to meet, and hoping to meet some new faces in July. To those preparing for RPT exams this year, I wish you the very best of luck! Regards, Mark Purney, RPT PTG Institute Team

A message posted on behalf of the Institute Director...
We are well into planning for the Bellevue Institute. Once again, we have a great line-up of instructors and classes. I have participated in 27 Institutes over the years. This year there are many classes I would love to attend, but as Institute Director, I won't be able to. No matter how many Institutes you have attended, we have classes you will not want to miss.
One of these is "Trigger Point Massage" by Amber Davies. Claire Davies (her father) taught this class years ago at the Institute. The techniques I learned from Clair have saved my career as a piano technician at least three times. If you have pain as a technician, you need to be there! If you don't know what trigger point massage is, you need to be there!
Encourage those in your chapter to begin planning now to attend. Anyone intent on piano technology as a career should be there. I have always felt that I am either growing and learning or I'm regressing. We can't stay in one place. We forget things or learn bad habits by not continually improving. What are you and those in your chapter doing to grow or improve your skills? The Institute in Bellevue will fill that need. Be there!
Ward Guthrie, Institute Director, Bellevue, WA, July 2012

The convention is less than 2 months away! The Institute Team, led by Ward Guthrie, has arranged another great class schedule for 2012. Come to Seattle and learn from the best instructors in the world. If you've never been to a PTG National Convention, don't let another year go by. Sometimes, just one class can have a huge impact on a a technician's quality, efficiency, or earning potential. I've gone five years in a row, and I consider each trip far more valuable than any money I could have saved by not attending.
