Has anyone put some sort of platform under their piano? When I search for decoupling the piano, someone posted to use Auralex GRAMMA. I also see that Auralex has a HoverDeck. Can you really put a piano on these things?

It seems to me that a platform would add echo or possibly some amplification to the sound. Having said that, though, I did play a Kawai on a platform in a music store some years ago, but I do not recall it having any influence on the sound one way or the other.

Having googled the hoverdeck, I see that it isn't the type of platform I played on which was raised 6 inches or so above the surrounding floor, but rather a fairly flat sound insulator. It seems they are designed for drums, but I see no reason one could not be placed beneath a piano.
