I'm considering a used Kawai MP8ii, but haven't been able to find any price comparisons. None have been sold on eBay, and only one comes up on a universal Craigslist search. Are there any other sources of info.? TIA.

Probably like $1000 or so I would think. I really depends on the market. It's not heavily traded so there's no standard price. I can easily see myself paying something like this.
Definitely not more than $1800 or so. Wide range I know, but there you have it.

Lacking any data, how can you say $1000? Why not $2000? Why not $500?

$1000 is about half the new price. I think that's a good guess for a not-too-old piano. Any less and it makes new pianos look really bad.

The popularity of the MP8/MP8II as a controller for software pianos means that demand for these older models will remain pretty strong for some time. I believe the general consensus is that if you have an MP, you hold onto it. Cheers, James x
