I’ve decided to try and teach myself to play piano from a fake book. I have not touched a keyboard in over 30 years but I have bachelors in Music Education so I know keys, chords, theory, etc. I know the basic hand and curved finger positions taught in universities in the early 70’s. I have good basic knowledge, chords, inversions, suspensions, etc but haven't done anything at a keyboard in 30 years. Does anyone know of a good self teaching system? I intend to devote about 30 mins or so a day. I’m not trying to go on tour but just for enjoyment. My musical preference outside of the classical period or French impressionism is toward the standards i.e. 40’s and 50’s popular music. I’d appreciate any feedback, especially from someone who has done the same thing. Thanks for your help. Mike

The chapter on 3 note voicings would probably suit you very well.
