It's Fun to Play the Piano ... Please Pass It On!
Griffin, that festival seems very interesting; I really like to know about folk music from any part of the world.
Hi Recaredo! How nice to catch up with you. Thanks for letting me know about your interest in international folk music. Now I understand why you enjoy Andean music when we post it. I saw some references to various festivals when I was researching WOMAD. I may have a few things I'll send you PM this weekend.
Hey Recaredo, do you have any Flamenco to share sometime soon? Some of us out here are starving for a little Flamenco, and we know you are all hoarding it in Espana! Come on Dude! Be a good sport and share! LOL.
Griffin, this video shows one of the great flamenco singers of the past century. Manolo Caracol was a master for many flamenco singers, Camarón de la Isla included.
I have no idea what style this is considered but before I realized that I could learn piano I went through a "guitar is the next best thing stage" and wanted to learn this. (and nope I didn't learn guitar lol.)
Good morning all! I have to hit the piano hard today, lesson #2 is coming up Monday! Weeee
Thanks Recaredo and Becca I am just finishing up some chores at home. I can hardly wait to take a break and listen to these! Becca, good luck on the piano lesson. Recaredo, I thank you for sharing the Flamenco my friend!
Back to the chores for me so that I can enjoy these posts!
Wayne, I was here... I was through that window pulling weeds or something. Glad you're back. I want details. Do aliens have their own Gagaish figure?
Poor Andrew Roachford! He looks so sad! He can sing and play piano so he shouldn't feel that bad.
I love the flamenco stuff. I wish I could play guitar. I went through a phase too, Becca. We bought Guitar Hero, and I decided that I needed to learn, so I had BillyO show me a couple of chords for Institionalized by Suicidal Tendencies (I figured punkish stuff was the way to go, since the bands hardly knew more than 3 chords). I think my phase lasted 30 minutes. Electric guitars are heavy and make your hands hurt!
I also think bass guitar would be ok. Or upright bass!
Good evening everyone, AimeeO, did you have a look at what is peeping out from under the cushion in Waynes picture? I missed it first look, and had to go back and check again!!
When you say "I am waiting a delivery" do you mean you are about to give birth to a babyO? OR,
IS THE PIANO ON ITS WAY!!!!! yeeehaa!!!
Rise like lions after slumber,in unvanquishable number. Shake your chains to earth like dew which in sleep has fallen on you. Ye are many, they are few. Shelley
we will need piccies, not of the cat either. Doesnt BillyO ever wish for a proper pet like a dog or a terrapin?

Aimee, they thought I WAS lady G, showed 'em my manhood to prove I wasn't a lady, but that didn't seem to prove anything! In the end, exchanged a RST badge for my release, (don't worry Rossy, it was counterfeit)
Good evening dude, is it as cold over your way as it is here in Wales?? its like freezing here! fingerless gloves for playing the piano today and that didnt help much!!!
what you up to Wayne, whats the latest piece you are working on?
