The School of Music at the University of British Columbia will soon be posting an opening for a Piano Tuner Technician. This position will be under the Collective Agreement of CUPE local 116 at UBC. The position will initially be at 30 hours per week (80% of full-time), and will include full benefits and salary in accordance with the Collective Agreement. Given the piano maintenance needs of the School, opportunities for increased hours are expected to arise, and will be explored in accordance with the Collective Agreement.

I am giving this a bump today as UBC is accepting applications starting just a few minutes ago when the job was posted. The posting can be viewed at the first link in the original posting.

The wage and benefit package is also available there now I believe.

There was a technical glitch this morning, along with a heavy snowfall in this area. Because of this the university has extended the acceptance of applications from today until January 23rd instead of closing the competition this Friday.
