Hi all,

I need to arrange things for: 1 keyboard, 3 singers, 1 bass, 2 guitars, 1 drummer ( 3 or 4 mics ? )

So I was thinking on an unpowered mixer with 12 channels and two active PAs.

In this scenario what will be a good mixer ?, the PAs I think will be QSC K10s

Thanks

Soundcraft, yamaha, mackie - check out Carvin. http://www.carvin.com/ Do the guitars want to be mic'd? are you mic-ing the drums? how big a room?

Hi Daviel,

Guitars are electrict so it is just one 1/4 per guitar, and now I am thinking in letting the drums out of the mixer.

Candidates I have now are:
Behringer XENYX X1222USB
Mackie PROFX12 12-Channel

Any recommendations ?

The two you narrowed it down to are fine. I have a smaller XENYX (real little) that works very well. The XENYX is probably the best bargain. I like Behringer products. Small room you don't need to mic the kick drum. Try to keep it real simple

Get yourself a decent PA with enough inputs. And don't overload it! Or make sure you have one powerful enough to support instruments and speakers.

Go & watch some local bands similar to what you are trying to set up and ask them their advice on this.

Checkout Carvin

My band uses a lot of their gear. Solid, dependable gear at decent prices. Our PA is one of the cleanest sound setups I have ever played and sang through. If your going with KC10's and plan on putting Bass & Kick drums through it you may seriously want to get the QSC KSub, you would only need one.
