There is a Baldwin Grand piano in my local CL that was apparently built in 2001 and has a length of 7' 5". I have tried but been able to find a Baldwin grand made that was that length. Any guesses?

Well, is it a true Baldwin or a DH Baldwin? Also, the measurement might not be correct (but it's hard to be off that amount).

A 2001 SF-10 would be a nice find, if it's still in god condition. Ask them for a model name or number stamped on the plate?

SF-10 is 7', but this might be one. Did they use wrapped bichords on the tenor side of the break, like in the pictures?
If you're in the neighborhood, why not check it out? Some of the ad language seems a little perfumed and scammy... but it could be legit.

It looks like a real Baldwin in the photo... maybe they got a little carried away with the size and thought adding a few inches would make it more attractive.
It looks like a very nice piano.
Good luck!!!

That's an SF-10, which is 7'. $15,000 is a fair price if it's in good shape.

Basketball players do that all the time. I've heard that similar claims sometimes also arise in certain social overtures.

Definitely have a technician check it out for you - money well spent - period.

I remember seeing new SF-10s selling for around $35,000 a few years ago. This piano is already 10 years old, so it would only be worth about 60% on a good day.

What amazes me is that the SF-10 is comparable in quality to a M&H BB or a Steinway B (IMHO) - both of which were significantly more expensive when new 10 years ago. It would be difficult to find a god 10 year old BB or B for less than $25K these days.
