I'm thinking over this idea: "This piece is born before it ends up on the page. And when it is finished there is an afterlife to the piece".

Very interesting to hear that he travelled to Kazakhstan and his students are not interested in hearing about it. They stick with their concerns (competitions, letter of recommendation etc.) "They are not interested in somebody else! There is no empathy...This is what I think is wrong in the world. People are not listening to each other."
