Like the Gaga mashup thingie.. its very Bachish!

Sam, that is hilarious! is that the girl band that everyone thought had a member that was a person but turned out to be a computer generated being with parts of all the other girls' faces?

Rossy, sorry about your pointless walk to Focus. I figured you were out killing moles for your mole sauce. Griffin was quiet also, so I thought it was a joint project (What is Focus, anyway? I wish there was a store where I could go to focus.)

Warning: the following will be rather obnoxious

Sam's post made me think of two bands. BillyO exposed me to both of these; I suppose he's a fan because the chicks are cute and playing instuments. One I like, and one I'm iffy about. Here are the Polysics, the ones I'm iffy about:

This is Melt Banana. They are very noisy, but I think they're hilarious. I've seen them live. When the lead singer is talking to the audience, she has this cute little voice. And then she explodes.

Rossy, remember when you posted that Jerusalem piece during the riots? YouTube recommended this to be since I watched that.

Hello everyone. I won't have any time to post today. Perhaps tonight. I am swamped at work, and sitting at my desk having lunch. I'm looking forward to listening to all of your postings when I get more time later today.

Wayne, I loved the posting you did of Desmond Dekker. Sam, I'm glad you posted as well. It was fun to hear. Aimee, I left Rossy to his own with regards to the mole sauce for enchiladas.

Well, back to work. I'll check in later. Have a great day everyone.

Adeltrout, you and billybass are absolutely correct cute chix are well received in the UK !! (more please)(as many as poss)
I do have to take exception to the Idiot that put the "National anthem" up on youtube and called it "the english hymn" Hymn? it is not, and never has been a hymn!

Deary me... Wayne.. laptop woes...
This is why our lad has just bought a £700 Top of the range Toshiba laptop, and given me his old one..::::

A warning to the terminally stupid:

Vista does indeed take up an inordinant amount of space on your hard drive, this is true .

However, ( unlike our lad) what you do not do to get more space (like our lad) is remove the partition on drive E and then delete the system restore folders...
YES, they take up 6GB but they are there for a reason.

When you accidently get a virus on your laptop (like our lad) and when that virus is so bad it actually creates a new user account on your laptop, one that you cannot get into ( like it did to our lad) and when it locks you out of the ADMIN on your own laptop ( like it did to our lad)

Then you have no ability to uninstall vista and do a systems restore, especially if ( like our lad did not) you havent got any back up discs....

Fortunately, Mrs R has a Toshiba running vista, and she went into her drive E and copied her systems restore onto disc, and used that to reinstall vista on the bad laptop, after uninstalling vista on it first..

because they are both toshibas this worked just fine..

And now it is totally good again and working like brand new.

Guys, when your laptop or pc says you should do back up discs ...do them, for the sake of pennies for the discs, and a few moments of your time.......

So, now tonight will be installing ableton and reason5
excellent...

To the music and a little musing on Pushy parents, ( and the dangers)

This band is famous for being, well very bad indeed really,
Formed at their fathers insistance,
Because his mum "Foresaw"

The bands rise to stardom.... well if she did she got it very very wrong indeed....

yes you should encourage your children, and help them in whatever endeavour they wish to pursue,
BUT,
what you should not do is try and live your life through them, dont push them into doing what you would like them to do... as this guy did....

dudes and dudettes,, The shaggs...

Wayne mrs R did actually consider removing vista and seeing in windows xp would install, are you saying you have overcome the inherent probs involved in that?

The heavenly Heavenly, courtesy of micro-label Sarah Records circa 1993. Often derided as 'twee pop' by the UK music press, they perhaps demonstrate here their non-conformity with that tag. Very popular in Japan...

There were two girls in Heavenly. There's some history on their Wikipedia page.

Rossy, if it runs Vista, then it will run win7 which is much less demanding than Vista, (I hate Vista), I wouldn't bother reverting to win xp either, as product support is running out, PM(ing) you now lol!

Hi Wayne <waves>

Perhaps at the other end of the spectrum from The Shaggs, here's son-of-Tim Jeff Buckley performing Dido's Lament at London's Meltdown...

And then Philip Sheppard talking about being a cellist at that performance, and how being there and hearing this affected his entire musical trajectory...

(originally broadcast on BBC Radio 4 I think)

Brilliant eglantine, do you mind if I call you eggplant for easyness? AimeeO is known as Adeltrout, and her man is Billybass, I am allaboutthehalibut, and Wayne, I think is codpiece,Griffin is of course Salmonella, but he missed the post so may not know yet...
If you dont like eggplant, maybe you can invent a fish nickname? but an easy one, not say something like "coelacanth" because thats dificult to spell without googleing, I do accept it is a most ancient fish though, and worthy of attention.

Anyways, thought I would finish off today here in the UK with some Grieg, so I suppose a norweigen song would be in order, Grieg being of the land of Vikings and nords...

Night all sleep well,

Hello Everyone! Carp is a good choice instead of Eggplant. Now that I've gotten a decent night's sleep, I see that it's a good idea to keep an eye on Rossy's idea for my fish name. Rossy, let's reconsider the implications of my nickname being Salmonella. I've just given folks my tasty green chili enchiladas recipes, and then they discover my nickname is Salmonella! Besides, I've never been friends with Sam and Ella. I do have my reputation to consider! smile

It's time for some good old rock and roll. My first post is Little Richard's "Keep a Knockin.!

Another popular rock star was Buddy Holly (R.I.P.)and the Crickets. Here is "Peggy Sue." (Sorry for the abrupt cut off at the end.)
