Okay so I've had the piano for 8 days now. I found a guide for how to clean the piano and printed that off. My boyfriend was my assistant and we worked hard to get it all done! I ended up repairing a bunch of the keys myself by cutting some felt and replacing it underneath to fix the wobbly keys and spacing. There was one key that was cracking so we just glued it with wood glue (it was repaired before by the looks of it.)

We also tackled the damper pedal that was twisted. Turned out some idiot put a long wood screw right through the bottom of the piano and then bent it up! What a mess trying to get that outta there. The only thing actually wrong with the damper pedal was the pin that goes across into the two blocks had popped out of one side and was chewing the wood block up. However with the stupid screw in there it became a real mess to fix. So we ended up putting a bolt on it because the block and the bottom of the paino was so badly chewed up. It's nice and tight now but I'm really not happy about the damage someone did there. Oh well we fixed it. Anyways, how did we do? Neither of us are techies but its working nice now! Any tips for an easier way next time?
