A house piano does not need to "project" to the back of Carnegie Hall. You'll be fine.

Is this a bright overtone on one note or a bright overtone on every note?.

If one note, Which one?, copper wrapped or not?

Has everyhing else been done prior to needling?

every note as I can hear!

Strings are level and all my contact points are firm, hammers are cut to strings! but for some reason i hear the overtone, is like if i had a very high pich at the end of the notes, and the louder i play the more it shows!

The color of underfelt of a hammer tells us very little about the felt characteristics of the top felt. People see a hammer with a particular underfelt and proceed to call it a "Renner Red" or "Abel Green". This is not very useful at all.

There are many different approaches to voicing different kinds of hammers for different effects. There is no one exclusive method. It behooves every piano technician to study and advance the voicing skill set, by reading the available materials, rubbing shoulders with voicing mentors, attending courses and seminars on voicing and so on.

You say '...hammers are cut to strings'....are we to assume you mean that there are string cuts in the hammers? If this is the case, the hammers need reshaping and fitting to the strings before anything else.

Is this overtone present in the initial attack? Are the unisons in tune?
