Wondering if anyone has the part I need. I can't find the correct part at any of the major supply houses.
The closest I've found is # 523 or 523SJ page 126 from Schaff. The picture is wrong, as there is a hole in the bottom for a pin to go through for the lifter elbow. I can't provide a link because its the wholesale site.
This part is incorrect in the following ways.
It is full size, not compact, and therefore the jack, bridle wire, and backcheck are too long. These are not deal breakers, but the hole in the bottom is drilled in the wrong place, and the overall length is slightly different. Schaff says the compact version of this is what I need, but it is not available. I can probably make this part work, but it would be better to have the correct part.
Does anyone have any of these to sell me? I'd like 3, since I'm good at splitting the bottom out, and not so good at drilling. Its a high treble, so any or no spoon option is fine.
Thanks, Dan

Its an Aeolian, I think its called a Cable of some sort. Its a generic spinet, and the wippen looks like the one I referred to from Schaff, except the jack, backcheck, and bridle wire are shorter.

I can't provide a pic. It missing, and the action is at the customers house. I did have the Schaff catalog there and talked to them while comparing it to the wippen in the piano and thats why I provided the part # and page.

None of the compact spinet whippens are designed for a lifter wire/elbow.They are capsten type.
According to Schaff, the 523/SJ is the only one designed for lifter wire that they have.

I can't provide a link because its the wholesale site. With "can't" do you mean "can not" or "may not" or "will not"? Providing a link is easy as such, and I'd be glad to show the picture from Schaff's online catalog here, if it's a technical hurdle you're battling with.

I did not want to provide a link to the wholesale part of Schaffs' website. It was not a technical hurdle. Call me old fashioned.:)
