Hello all... Just delivered today...
I have been lurking on the site for awhile now and all of the information helped in making my decision..
BTW I am definitely a fan of the ABS "Plastic" action...

Congrats on the new piano! How would you describe the action of the K2? How about the length of the keystroke?

The action is quick.. This is it's first day in my ouse and it needs to be tuned and tweaked... I am going to wait for it to settle in...
LEngth of keystroke? I am not sure that I notice any difference from others...
I was impressed with the sound, and workmanship...

Congratulations! That's a nice piano you got, enjoy! Oh, and BTW, it's not entirely a plastic action, it's a carbon-fibre-ABS plastic composite action Have fun!

Congratulations!
My impression of the K2 is that the action feels more or less like the taller 48" and larger uprights. It's a bit on the firm side like Yamaha and some Korean makes.

Congratulations. I enjoy my K-2 very much. It's a good starter piano, and I've learned a lot playing that baby upright.

Glad to hear this about the K2. I went to my local Kawai dealer to leave a deposit for a CN43. (I'm still considering a CA63 as well). While expressing my concern about the authenticity of the action, the owners of the store said, "Well if you want the most authentic acoustic piano-like action, why don't you get yourself an acoustic piano?" and they promptly showed me the K2. Of course, it's more expensive than the CN43, however the thought of a real acoustic piano has a lot of appeal to me. I haven't been able to find too much information (apart from the Kawai web site) on the K2. And I haven't decided if I'm going to shell out the extra money for it yet. But it's good to know that people have had a positive experience with it. Thanks for sharing.
