Looks like I will be getting a new Yamaha YUS5 after all the information I have gleemed from this site. Has anyone ever had to move a piano through a window? I have to get mine moved through the second story window of my Town house. Anything I need to ask the dealer or be cautious about? Anyone have a bad experience?

The dealer should know enough to be able to handle the situation. They hire the piano movers, as well as a crane company. I have not had a bad experience with either of my pianos being moved up by crane through my balcony. Through a window, hmm, it may be more difficult, but if they can do it... Well, they can do it! smile

I am a virgin to this type of move. The dealer I will be using has an outstanding reputation. I am (Like most musicians) a real picky person when it comes to my instruments. I don't want even a hair of a scratch on the finish. The information I have gotten from this site has been great.

For me (as a musician), i just like my instruments to sound great, play great, and look as though it's been well treated at the minimum. Nah, you shouldn't get a scratch when dealin' with a good dealer and good movers. No worries. smile
