Can anyone provide some information on the early American style Story & Clark pianos? I can find plenty of info regarding the history of their company but nothing concerning the quality of these pianos...

I've not owned an older S&C, but I've seen and played a few older uprights. Some of the older uprights had string aggrafes (like a grand piano), rather than a capo bar, which tells me they were well made.

I've learned that the bottom line is how the individual piano sounds and plays... and looks.
