Hey Hawgdriver! Loved your Wilco posting. In appreciation, I offer this,

Quick anecdote about this song.

There is a section with a repetitive chord. Wamp-wamp-wamp-wamp-wamp-wamp-wamp-wamp-wamp...right? I love it. It reminds me of the 39 wamps in a song I posted not too long ago, Wolfparade's Kissing the Beehive.

Well, during an evening poker game with the gents, I was the DJ capo. I selected Wilco live "Kicking Television" and the first cut was Misunderstood. During those autistic-cum-peripatetic-rocker wamps, an Academy classmate of mine asked, "WTF are we listening to?" LOL

Well, not everyone likes Wilco. But the ones that do, they are the ones that count.

Good morning everyone. I now have a clean house and lots of delicious leftovers from our holiday gathering. I'm visualizing a very relaxed weekend!

Here's my first post for today, Joe Walsh, "Life's Been Good".

Here is a duet with Julieta Venegas and Mala Rodríguez - From the 2008 MTV Unplugged concert.

Eres Para Mí

English -
You are meant for me
You are meant for me, the wind has told me
You are meant for me, I hear it all the time
The passing shadow,
The burning light
Your staring eyes,
The street singing its everyday chant,
The moving world
And I know you're afraid
And it's not a good time for you
And for what is happening to us

the mirror reflecting everything
just the way it is
my so light body
if I hear you calling me
....
Let me feel more than enough
The heart is a muscle
Which explodes if not beating
See you from the distance, say a few tones,
We look so old, time,
Want more time?
Look at my skin, can you see what I feel?
You are meant for me, I am meant for you
The wind told me very softly

brillinat posts Griffin, and a very handy translation too for some of us English only speakers!!!

It has been very quiet on PW today, I guess its the holiday thingy. I will post some music a little later on tonight, as I too am busy with (a) watching a large joint of beef. and (b) Mrs R's birthday.
Mrs R is very happy at the moment because (a) there is a large joint of beef in the cooking. (b) she has a large box of chocolates to indulge in whenever she wishes.
Oh, and I found her a card with an owl on the front, and two baby owls in a nest in a tree.
Odd how things happen in bunches.

Rossie, it's still November! This whole Christmas this is getting out of control.

Your absolutely right eglantine, I dont know what i must have been thinking about! Its all the beef and chocolate I have eaten today, sort of reminded me about the costly and pointless time ahead! I am chastised!

So, here is the remarkable Pavlovs dog with the totally seasonal "Late November"

You're forgiven R. After all, it was only fake crimble with trolls.

I'm looking for some ebay expertise (I'm a novice and watching an expensive item that ends tomorrow morning). Anybody have any idea when is the best time to enter the fray? I'm thinking about setting up an automatic bid, and I know there will be a flurry at the end. How long should I leave it before throwing my bids in? (Not so OT: it's an instrument.)

Meanwhile, another comic animation: the Death Star Canteen, which has got to be my all-time favourite.

Eglantine, what instrument is it?

I'd place your max bid an hour before and let ebay bid on your behalf!

Rossy, Hope Mrs R had a great birthday, sounds like she did, bet she's still nibbling on beef, or has she eaten it ALL already?

OT, but I heard a lovely song today while browsing in the charity shop.....here it is........

Lovely song Wayne, and I hadn't heard it for such a long time.

The instrument, uh, has a keyboard :-/
