I have a beautiful MX100A Disklavier and added a DKC-850 unit. I knew when I bought the control unit about "Piano Radio" available via the internet and that it wasnt' available to me because the piano uses midi connections rather than the 8 pin connector.

I have two questions:

1. There is an update for the DKC-850 that I should be able to do via the internet but when I try to access the internet on the unit I get a message like; "Feature not available-piano type." I don't understand why I can't even access the internet for firmware updates. Any way to make this work?

2. Why can't "Piano Radio" work? The DKC-850 is connected to speakers for the accompaniment music and the piano plays via the midi cables. I don't understand why the DKC-850 cant' play the piano using the midi connection the same as it always does. Any work around on this?

When it says "feature unavailable-piano type", I get the feeling that it is the "piano type" (kind of piano you have, though if it is a matter of being upright or grand piano I'm not sur) being incompatible with the DKC-850 unit. Otherwise i Don't see why it shouldn't work. The DKC-850 unit, it seems to work with Disklavier Mark II and Mark III, but it may be that the Disklavier on your MX100A is not suited. I can give you that much, otherwise I can't really be of too much help. Hope it can be resolved.
