My son's teacher really wants him to go to a piano camp this summer. We live in Georgia and have looked at UGA's camp, Charleston Southern's camp, and Georgia College's camp. Does anyone have experience with any of these or know of other quality camps in the southeast that run for one week? Is there anything specific I should be looking for when choosing one? He is a good pianist, but not a jaw-dropping talent.

Nancy, there are more than two camps in Georgia and surrounds. Ask your son's teacher for a copy of the listings in the Music Teacher, Klavier, etc. Then write/call the camps and ask for references from alums in your area. You need to talk with students and parents who have recent experience. Good luck.
