http://www.box.com/s/ospyet1v7kmdyh9gpm43Just the 2nd one for now.
After not playing very much for the past few years, and not really practicing, and certainly not LEARNING anything I really wanted to work on, I've started to get myself back into playing condition. Practicing a couple hours each day on classical pieces I'd like to learn. (and some work on the pipe organ)
Also I picked up a nice digital recorder, in the hopes that recording myself will help me to get better.
So, here's sort of a 'test run', on an easy piece which still took me a few takes to get right (enough). Couple dropped notes, and a finger slip or two...
I'd really appreciate any comments, especially on the quality of the recording. I didn't work with the sound at all, since I don't yet know what I'm doing. But I do think the quality is very good, probably a little on the quiet side. If you'd like to comment on the performance itself, feel free. All help is appreciated !!
Oh, and just incase anyone cares, I spliced together two takes in an appropriate spot. I hear it every time, and I'm sure everybody else will too. But again, this was more a test run than anything. I know this is sort of a "hot button" issue around here these days....
P.S. - Hopefully ogg vorbis is a good file format for everyone. I exported it as an .mp3 and I thought there were some weird noises going on in the background that aren't in the pure .wav file. So I retried as this and it worked much better.
