I love the Aria too. .. and the first variation to add some sparkle a punch. I think it is my favorite piece altho I love the C# minor fugue (WTC 1 / 4) with great intensity.. it's pretty hard. I can't get enough of Bach. There are some tocattas (relatively rarely played) that are awesome pieces.. especially the E minor.. what I am working on now.. ( here is a you tube performance. it's really a blast to play I actually skip the whole first part and start with the toccata.. my bad. (skip the first 4 minutes if you are short of time on this video).

You want me to choose just one???? Impossible. The Aria is lovely but I am especially fond of the keyboard concerti...all of them.

Hardly any point in choosing but if cornered I'd probably go with the C minor partita.

P & F in F minor, WTC II. And I would have said P & F in F# minor, WTC II. We're just a half-step apart! -J

It is an impossible task to choose one single composition.

Today, I played the Courante from Partita No. 4. It is, without a doubt, ONE of my most favorite Bach pieces to play. It is so incredibly uplifting and reassuring.
