AlphaTerminus 500 Post Club Member Registered: 08/08/09 Posts: 549 Loc: Iowa, USA	Just got a second CME keyboard. I plug each 49 keyboard into my laptop running Ivory and place them side by side to simulate 1 98 key piano... Anyone else done this? At 29 inches long they fit in a suitcase for air travel and it's $2700 less than the Vax77. But I have to adjust to a 3 keywidth gap where the boards join. I thought about hacking he edges off but havent yet taken them apart to see if it would be fatal. I'm going to get a splitter to run the sustain pedal to both boards simultaneously. Don't know why I hadn't thought of this earlier! _________________________ Lessons since September 2009 Yamaha C6

anotherscott 1000 Post Club Member Registered: 02/20/10 Posts: 1480	Fun idea! But you shouldn't have to bother with the splitter. Assuming that the boards are transmitting on the same MIDI channel (just octave shifted to the desired ranges), a sustain pedal plugged into either one should affect the keys on both.
