Squeaky Pedal at Pivot Pin

My Sustain pedal is squeaking - and the squeak is originating from the pivot pin.
How do I go about addressing this myself? (Won't need it tuned for another 4 months; would rather not wait till then).
Thanks.

If the pin is sitting in a metal bushing a tiny drop of lubricant on it should work or a small spritz of wd40. If the bushing is some synthetic like plastic/nylon/teflon, a dry film lubricant or white lithium grease will work. If the pin is sitting in a wood, felt or leather bushing, best wait for your tech to handle it. Sometimes its not the pin squeaking and it could be the whole housing is loose and moving or it could also be a spring or some other part like a rod squeaking. Techs will isolate the pedal movement in sections of connected parts to determine where its coming from, if its not clearly evident.

The interesting thing about trapwork squeaks is that they seldom turn out to be what you first suspected.
Edit; (Upon further reflection, it's just possible that my powers of first deductions may not be what they should be.)

What brand of piano is this? Even if you have correctly isolated it to the pedal area, there are things it could be other than the pin itself. Some pedals have springs underneath that squeak unless lubricated.
