Hey guys,

I didn't really compose this, but I did transcribe it as the title suggests. I'm here willing to share it. I originally contemplated whether or not I should do it about 3 years ago before I returned to piano just a year ago (I stopped playing over 6 years ago). I feel like my skills have greatly degraded.

Anyways, this song was a dream to play and make, and finally I have it complete after 3 months of on/off work on it. I would figure it would help me somehow learn the piano while being able to transcribe what I really wanted to play; it's my interest that drives me to become a great player--regardless of what the method of learning is.

So, for those familiar with this piece, it's abridged (not to be confused with incomplete). Due to adding of various instruments to make it sound more grand as the song progresses, I decided to cut off to prevent repetition. As a side note, it was actually becoming increasingly difficult with so many sounds and things started to feel slow and "gapped" between notes.

Anyway, feedback is welcome. I think it's complete, with some twists that I added which were not originally part of the piano line. Dynamics could be better, I know that much. However, I'm aware of one fact: it's all interpretation--piano is not an exact science as far as I'm concerned.

Here it is, in PDF format: http://www.mediafire.com/?i9zglpy2x4w6ep6

Just as an update, I have cleaned it up a little and removed damper pedal dynamics; it's now up to you how you play it. I also fixed two redundant notes played by both hands. And the ending has a bit more fluidity, so it doesn't feel like it's being hung off. As always, comments welcome. In case anyone still wants the original before these changes, you can get it in the first post (apparently I can't edit it anyway).

Edit: Okay, I realize some might be interested to see what it looks like BEFORE downloading it, so I am going to show an image of the first page.

Sorry to be posting the third time, but I had some small suggestions. I would like to say this is the final edit, and no more would be done unless someone notices something critical. The changes made were mostly rearrangement of some fingers (which hand played what notes) and make some final touches so it sounds a bit smoother. Minor changes, but after playing this about 3 or 4 times, I realized it is best to do it rather than not.

Thanks, Evlesoa! That's such a pretty theme. I'm looking forward to playing it.

And welcome to the forum! smile

You're welcome. I'm glad you find it pretty; that was my motivation for this piece.

I will be transcribing more music from various songs as I have time. I'm working on something now, and when it's done, I'll post it on this forum as well.

Anyway, enjoy End Theme!

I just found out something awful; this whole thing is off by a beat. I'm going to be changing and rearranging, and re-transcribing certain parts of this song. Will be done in a week to post what I've got. Unfortunately, this is going to take me many more hours to fix. *sigh*

You want to slip it back or forward a beat? 10 seconds work in any notation program I've ever used. (Maybe plus a few minutes tidying-up).

I do, but I don't know how to do it without making it too much of a mess. I'm doing it manually right now. Not a big deal, but time consuming to say the least. I also am going to simplify it and take it to the end; it won't be abridged, it'll be the full thing. In the mean time, I'm about to make a new topic about a new transcription, which sounds heavenly and is simply perfect.

Thanks for the suggestion though! I do appreciate it.
