In this case I would not call it a "piano version of Chopin's Nocturne," neither here nor on the video.
Regards,

I'm curious why you changed it. I thought it was perfect the way Chopin wrote it.

Gooddog, I somehow agree on how perfect the original version is (I really like it), I did "change" it as I do not read sheets and was enjoying making a short variation on the intro part.

Why? The key is also changed, did you learn a different version through youtube?

I did learn it from memory (heard the song once a week ago) and played it while improvising on my piano (came naturally), I did not notice I changed the key until you (other people from forums) told me.

Any interest in learning to read music? I'm often surprised that people seem so resistant to the idea (not saying YOU are). This way, you could learn to play the original- rather difficult to top what Chopin wrote.

If that is true you have a rare gift indeed. I wonder how many here could hear a chopin nocturne once and then from memory and without the sheet music play a recognisable approximation of it? Not many is my guess. Maybe you didn't exactly improve on the original but I am still impressed.

Thanks Beeboss, as you noticed, I did not try to improve the original (already great), just tried to "paraprhase" the intro which I liked.
