:)I know nothing at all about digital pianos, I have looked at a few...But, If I wanted a digital without a lot of tones, bells whistles etc., I just want a simple digital with pedals that has a realistic touch and sound on the keyboard, or as realistic as it can be what model or brand would I look for? Any advice would be appreciated. Kind Regards,

Grab yourself a Yamaha P155. It's sort of a best-for-the-money piano of decent quality. If you prefer a console style, there's the YDP 161 for not too much more money.
If you have more money available to spend than that, let us know and we can make some higher-end recommmendations.

$2000 gives you a decent range in all the major manufacturers.
Yamaha: Consider the CP50. Same action as the P155 but better sounds and functionality. Also probably there are several YDP (arius) models and maybe even a Clavinova that might be in that price range. Actually I'm not sure of the street prices of cabinet-style pianos since they do not sell online and sticker prices are higher than purchase prices. Not sure how much they are charging for the CLP 330 these days, for example. New Clavinovas feature a three-sensor action, which might be helpful in rapid repeated notes. Note: the CP50 does not have built-in speakers, so you will need to get some.
Roland: The oft-recommended FP7F. That's basically it. But it's a very popular piano on these forums.
Kawai: The MP6. If you stretch your budget you can get the MP10, which has the much-beloved RM3 wooden action.
I'm mostly recommending slab style pianos because you get more for your buck. There are tons of consoles in the budget, but they tend to be inferior to the consoles I mentioned in one way or another. Still, if you want or need that aesthetic, there are lots of choices.

Realize, though, that with a slab style keyboard (such as MP10 etc) you will need to add speakers and amplifier, unless content to play only with headphones. However, some slab style do come with built-in speakers (such as the FP7F) although the sound won't be that great.
