Would I be able to connect my P155 to something like This to This? Would it still work properly? Laptop has died and I need to figure out a way for it to reach my PC.

Yes, it should work properly in theory. And it also works in practice: I have my keyboard conencted to a USB-MIDI interface (similar to the one you post) attached to a USB cable (similar to the one you post) connected to one more USB cable finally connected to the computer... and it works.

USB operating specifications limit the maximum length of the cable to 5 meters for full speed devices and 3 meters for any low speed devices (a USB-MIDI interface may be any of them), so if you don't exceed those lengths you can continue extending your cable and it will work. And if you exceed those lenghts slightly (or not so slightly) it may still work. I exceed 3 meters and no problem at all.

Regards,
Kurt.-

Isn't there a direct USB connection on the P155? Or is that just for storage?

Unfortunately the P155 only has a USB-To-Device (for storage, etc.), not USB-To-Host.

Regaring extending your cable, I've actually had back luck with long (i.e., 10 feet or longer) USB connections in the past in different contexts. However, MIDI cables can go at least 50 feet without a problem. If you want a long run, you might consider getting two MIDI cable extensions instead of the USB extension.

Though if it's only 6 feet, the USB solution would probably work just fine.

The Midi interface is only short from my PC by roughly 3 feet. So, I don't need a large 10' one like I linked, I ordered a small 3'3" one. So hopefully that will be plenty. Thanks for the help.
