Morning all!

Songs of 2011...

SBTRKT has moved somewhat away from his bass/club roots in his first album, towards a much poppier feel - feel the width of that pop mass market! Can't blame him really - but for me his Wildfire was one of the stand-out tunes of last year. The singer is Yukimi Nagano from Swedish modern beat combo Little Dragon.

I love the way the bass and the voice weave together, particularly in the opening.

Hi!

I’ve been listening to the last posts.

Aimee, I also love Carnival of the Animals. Very good selections!

Griffin, I loved that video of Joshua Bell performing “Volcaliseª, but I especially enjoyed your final post. Jessye Norman is absolutely outstanding. What a powerful and expressive voice!

Rossy, I liked the video of your subscriber; she looks to be a talented pianist. It’s a pleasure to listen to young people playing piano with talent.

Eglantine, it was interesting to listen to so recent song. I always find this thread very informative.

Cheers!

I felt this needed to be shared, mainly because I don't think its strange.

I'll figure it out eventually.
Until then you may want to keep a safe distance.

Hi Everyone! I'm planning to listen to these posts later. It seems I'm busy lately with catching up with old friends at home. I'm also catching up on some intensive piano practice since I have this extra time during the holidays. I'll post on Tuesday, however. Enjoy your Monday!

Sometimes, things all jell and just go right, not often, but when they do, even if its for other folk, it can be magical...
here is an excellent instance of being in the right place at the right time....

I feel so happy for these guys....

I've seen that video before. They should have titled it "Epic Vending Machine Win."

If they made a movie about it, the score should be this awesome. . .

He is just this guy who posts heavy metal covers of stuff he gets requests for. His youtube channel is
http://www.youtube.com/user/331Erock

I think his name is Eric Calderone. He posts all the mp3s and guitar tabs he makes free on his website.

Hello Everyone! sorry I've been so scarce today. I seem to have a lot of chores to do while I'm home on vacation. Frankly, I wasn't sure what I'd post today. However, I recently heard this selection from my friend Louis. I enjoyed it and will share it with you today. I usually hold off posting unfamiliar music until I've had time to do more research. However, I am making an exception today.

Here is Rahat Fateh Ali Khan & Jayat Singing "Teri Yaad." Enjoy!

Cool griffin, thanks, I have allways wanted to have a go on one of those instruments that the guy is pumping with one hand.. I dont know what they are called though, but I have seen a few people playing them..they look like a good busking keyboard.
wow eastern scales are interesting arent' they?
thats why I love dead can dance as they use many scale systems that are unfamiliar.
wonderfull.

Am a little worried over Wayne now, he hasnt answered my PM, he hasnt been around since he got his piano tuned, and he was so chuffed about that happening , as you would be!
he also hasnt posted anything on youtube...
Maybe he has temporarilly lost his internet connection..
I really hope nothing bad has happened, he usually drops in no matter what is going on.

Thanks Rossy! I hope you're doing well.

Yes, the eastern scales are very interesting. I have a few more that I'll post at another time. I'd really like to learn more. I'll be back in a few minutes with another post.
