Good morning chaps,

I've uploaded some tunes from a recent live gig that you may or may not be interested in. wink

There are around ten tunes in total, however my favourite ("Twitchy Feet") is linked below.
Of course, please feel free to watch the other clips from the playlist, although my playing is a little nervous and sloppy in places (the 'warm-up drink' wasn't so effective...).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uqc4kWPKGFs&list=PL1A9A8FD6D6DEE517

Ah, the videos are rather dark, so you may need to increase the brightness on your monitor to check-out our funky threads. wink

For reference, I'm playing my 73-key Electro 3, connected in stereo to a Roland KC-500, with the outputs from the amp sent to the PA.

All feedback gratefully received, but please bear in mind that we're just an R&B band, playing 1960's funk, soul, and boogaloo. wink

Cheers,
James

Great stuff, James!

I really liked the sound you were getting from your Electro 3 / KC-500 - balls aplenty grin !

It's interesting to hear it live from an audience's perspective. It doesn't quite sound like a B3 but it has that great Nord sound and vibe, which is arguably just as good in its own way. Certainly got the audience on their (twitchy) feet!

Thanks for the feedback guys!

voxpops, yeah, the sound wasn't too bad. I had a fair bit of overdrive on some of the tunes to get that 'crunchy' sound used in the vintage originals.

The recording is pretty good quality, although it lacks some bottom end - obviously everything sounded a lot meatier in the flesh. wink

Well, we were the first band on that night - started at 8:30pm, so the crowd were a little frosty to begin with. However, like us, they seemed to loosen-up by the last three tunes. The guy dancing at the front in the last number was really getting into it!

Cheers,
James

Thanks, but it's not really my band - I'm just a 'Spice Boy'... 'Captain Pork' is the leader. wink
