We have stink bugs here in this area, but fortunately they don't really stink - just kind of a nuisance. lol!

Here's someone from my town, Beacon, NY

Mmmm. I saw Cat Stevens in 1973. He walked out barefoot onto a carpet in the middle of the stage, picked up his guitar and just played and sang.

Glad you like the Liszt, Sandy. I'll be doing more than ten reps a day over the next three weeks but only in short sections smile

Bob Dylan doesn't have a great voice technically but it's difficult to improve on his material without tackling it from a different direction. Here's a nice try from Them.

I'll be around today, and I'm enjoying all of these postings. How about a little smooth jazz with Grover Washington, "Strawberry Moon"

He he, I've seen Patti Smith - and the guy from Television, Tom Verlaine - do the same, with Persian rugs. I think it's a 70s thing!

Anyone remember Jonathan Edwards? He still travels around the country and still plays barefoot. So I think you're right about it being a 70's thing. I met him recently, he's a very nice, soft spoken guy.

Good evening everyone!

I wanted to post about the cimbalom, an instrument from Hungary which is played with two drumsticks striking strings. It makes a very attractive sound.

Here we can listen to this instrument, as soloist in the “Hary Janos” suite by Zoltán Kodály.

I love it! Never heard of it until now...almost a cross between a guitar and drums "sorta" sound? Pleasant....
Off to bed all, thanks for the great music !

I think it probably was a 70s thing. Possibly the great Sitar artist, Ravi Shanker, could have unknowingly had an influence here. Purely speculation on my part, however.

Good night!

Wow, what a great mix there. the last thing i remember was the truck bug pic.....
Loved the Chaconne in G Minor. Thanks for that.

PPP, that Bug song reminded me of Cows With Guns.

I have been preparing a piece for the ABF recital - Brahms Intermezzo 118/1, but not sure if i will submit this time around....few days left to get a half decent recording. It's been occupying my headspace for the last 2 weeks.

As long as we are going down Memory Lane, I can make time to share this piece of nostalgia from college days.
